Following our Planning Submission for Allport Dental Practice, we have now moved onto the detailed design stages. We met with a representative from a lighting company yesterday to develop the lighting scheme for the project.
We like using iGuzzini Illuminazione UK for our projects wherever possible. They have a very wide range of products, and the quality is fantastic. We have used them in various projects, ranging from a listed barn/office conversion, healthcare projects, industrial warehousing, even high quality residential refurbishments and extensions.
We had an update meeting with John Murdoch who presented their newest products, before looking at the Dentist scheme with us to develop a draft solution for pricing and review, which we should hopefully have next week.
Due to the dentist being within a converted residential development, we have low ceiling heights to match up to and existing structures to deal with, therefore we needed to review carefully the range of fittings available. Additionally, we needed fittings which would be easy to clean and maintain, had low energy lamps, and matched the contemporary and clean appearance of the proposal design. We also thought about the different spaces and how patients and staff would be using each space, for example patients relaxing and reading in the waiting area and hopefully feeling calm about seeing their dentist, and when tilted back on the dentist chair in the consultation room we needed low glare fittings.
Here is a selection of the products which we discussed for the project, the images are from www.iguzzini.com
