Client: Allport Dental Surgery
This proposal for the extension was based on the need to improve facilities within the dental practice that will provide additional accommodation and
improved access both externally and internally. The scheme also focused the main public usage of the building to the ground floor, leaving the first floor for occasional visitor access and staff use.
The proposal accommodates the new surgery and an accessible wc with a reconfigured waiting area that leads from the new entrance to the practice. Existing
internal ground floor spaces will also be remodelled following the main extension works to provide a new sterilisation room for the practice in line with new guidance on cross contamination from the NHS.
The extension is to be built in smooth rendered masonry which references the existing rendered panels on the building whilst providing a professional and crisp appearance to the practice in a contemporary style.
