Work has started on the site of our recent planning permission success in Caldy , Wirral. The first part of the scheme is the messy part and requires the underpinning of the existing house to create a new basement wine cellar.

Not necessarily the glamorous side of architecture but it needs to be done.

We must have had some of the worst weather over the last week or so to start doing this but the contractor , R W Thomas Ltd has persevered with the heavy clay and the hole is being prepared here  ready for Sika waterproof concrete being poured tomorrow..
